266.           „Vándorlókönyv” (Wanderbuch, booklet of prentice service) of Hausner Salamon, „Religiója Héber” („Religion Israelit”, Jewish religion) furrier, issued according to the order of the Hungarian Royal Resident Council, Pécs.

(Craftsmen of the time could only work as masters of their profession after three years of prentice. To acquire enough knowledge, these students were wandering, the stages of the three years work are recorded in the booklet.)

The Wandering booklet is written in Hungarian and German. The entire booklet is filled with records, signatures, original wax and embossed seals of Jewish craftsmen of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, some official entries by city councils, with exact dates. Hausner Salamon, between the spring of 1845 and summer 1847 wandered all through the historical Hungary, from Pozsony to Pancsova, and some cities of Austria, Germany and Italy. The inner cover bears signature of Hausner Salamon, with his records and the Hungarian royal coat of arms, followed by several lines of Yiddish script. In new cover. 32 pages.
