Heritage of Attila Petschauer

(Budapest, 1904? - Ukraine, 1944) Olympic fencing champion (Amsterdam, 1928, Los Angeles, 1932 and Berlin, 1936.), victim of the Holocaust. His life inspired István Szabó’s movie, Sunshine.

Together: 9 February 1945 issue of the Szabadság daily, which reports on the tragic death of Attila Petschauer (as it was shown in the movie), based on witness reports.
